This is the exact idea behind Red Ball 3.

Red Ball 3 follows the typical save-the-girl story to set the stage for the game. At twenty levels, it is a short game with a cute story and nice ending. Each level only took two minutes at the most, so I was able to beat the game in one day. Of course, when you beat the game you unlock the characters “Girly” and “Evily” so you can play every level with a different character.
Upon launching the app, anyone can tell that this game is made for young children. For one thing, the play button is very large and right in the middle of the launch screen. It is also the only button of that size; the other buttons are much smaller and line the bottom of the screen.The graphics are cute and cartoonish. Also, the intro and conclusion movies are both very short. Plus the left/right arrows and jump button are both very large, which is ideal for those tiny fingers to jab away at the controls. There are a few written instructions, but they can easily be ignored, and you would still be able to figure out how to play.
The only con is the relatively short game. It felt as if the game was over right when I first downloaded the app. I would have liked to see more levels or maybe special unlockable levels after finishing the story. Of course since this was designed for a young child, many levels are not needed to keep them busy.Overall, Red Ball 3 is a cute game ideal for young children. The music, graphics, controls, story are all suitable for kids. But at $.99, it is still a worthwhile game.
